Bishop Alfred “Mustard” Dearing, Sr. started his career at the National Academy of Broadcasting, Washington DC in 1965. Then, “Mustard” as he is known, advanced to becoming a nightclub MC for different clubs in and around the DC area. He was one of the first street jocks to start the trend in DC in late 60s, and early 70s. Mustard played in places such as Rands NightClub, Mark IV, Mingles, Casino Royal, Pied Piper, Barnett's Breakfast Club,The Wilson Boat Line, Jackie Lee's night club and too many more to mention.

In 1999, Mustard was diagnosed with Cancer. After finishing treatment, he gave his life to the Lord. Mustard approached Big Country 101 - WKEY-FM and asked if he could  play music for the Lord. He was told he could if he had a sponsor, so the company that Mustard worked for sponsored “The Precious Memories Gospel Hour from 2000 -2008. Thereafter, The Tower Of Deliverance Fellowship sponsored the show. Today, the present sponsors are the Alaska Outreach Center, Anchorage, Alaska and Lacks Towing and Pawn Shop, Covington, VA.
