Henry “Kevin” Fry, of 207 Addison Patch Road, Hot Springs passed away peacefully at his home on June 20, 2026, after a brief illness. He was born, June 3, 1961, to the late Harold Lee Fry, Sr. and Ann Lillian Whiteside Fry in Hot Springs. He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law, the late Patricia Stover; a brother-in-law, Billy Stover; and a sister-in-law, Annette Stove. Kevin graduated from Bath County High School and worked in the print shop at the Homestead and later pursued a career in carpentry and construction. He was known for his unwavering faith and dedication to his family as well as always willing to lend a helping hand. Kevin was known as Pawpaw to many children besides his grandchildren and could always be found in the bleachers for football games supporting his grandson Hunter or helping his granddaughter Erika with a project at her home and working on the farm. He left behind a wealth of knowledge to all those who were lucky enough to know him. Kevin was a dedicated member of the Hot Springs Fire Department for over twenty years and a former member of the Hot Springs Rescue Squad. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Cynthia Stover Fry of 44 years; his daughter, Sarah Church and husband, Lee of Hot Springs; his son, William Fry of Hot Springs; two grandchildren, Erika Church and boyfriend Ashton Larue of Buena Vista and Hunter Church of Hot Springs; two brothers, Lee Fry and wife Linda, Todd Fry and wife Lisa; his sister, Beth Neff and husband, Frankie; a father-in-law, Smokey Stover; a brother-in-law, Brian Stover; sister-in-law, Angel Stover; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Life Line Ministries Church in Hot Springs on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Zach Royer officiating, assisted by Rev. Frank Neff. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1-2:00PM. Arritt Funeral Home will be assisting the family with Mr. Fry’s funeral arrangements.
