Montie Kay Jefferies, Sr., age 87, of Glen Wilton, Virginia died Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Lewis Gale Hospital-Alleghany. He was born December 26, 1938 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Percy Crockcett Jeffries and Beulah Evelyn Herron Jeffries. He was a retired electrician for Acadia Polymer of Iron Gate and a member of Victory Baptist Church, Clifton Forge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judith Bailey. He is survived by his wife, Ella Dunbar Jefferies of Glen Wilton; a daughter, Lynn Jefferies of Covington; a son, Jeff Jefferies of Covington; two brothers, William Jeffries (Cristy) of Clifton Forge, James “Jimmy” Jeffries (Margaret) of Iron Gate; four grandchildren, Kaycen Jefferies, Hunter Jefferies, Jeramie Jefferies, Alan Jefferies; five great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 2:00PM in Victory Baptist Church, Clifton Forge with Reverend Brandon Nicely officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
