Deborah Kay Hall VanBuren, age 72, of 828 Vulcan Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia died on Friday, October 23, 2026 at her residence. Deborah was born on June 20, 1954 in Clifton Forge to the late Cecil Elmer “Odie” Hall and Dorothy Stull Hall. She was a homemaker throughout her life. She enjoyed cooking, and always looked forward to Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas dinners. She loved walking with her Jack Russell “Griffin” through the jungle, and she especially loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie William VanBuren, Jr. and a brother, Stuart Hall. She is survived by two sons, Johnnie VanBuren III (Tina) of Eagle Rock and Chance Aaron VanBuren of Clifton Forge; two sisters, Wanda Engleman (Dickie) and Betty Fix (Larry); a brother, Dennis Hall (Vickie); a sister-in-law, Barbara Hall; three grandchildren, Caleb VanBuren, Hayden VanBuren, and Nevaeh VanBuren; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends and caregivers, Natieya Smith and C. J. & Molly of ACG Hospice. In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. The family will receive friends Friday, October 30, 2026 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
