Brent Wayne Via, age 59, of 1611 Richmond Street, Selma, Virginia died on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at his residence. Brent was born on February 14, 1967 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to Richard Wayne Via and the late Clara Bell Davis Via. He was a fork truck operator for Bacova and made deliveries for Grand Piano. He also worked in the MDM Sewing Factory as a materials handler. Brent was a member of Iron Gate Community Church and enjoyed tinkering with trucks, working crossword puzzles, cutting grass, and visiting Pidgeon Forge. Brent is survived by his father, Wayne Via of Selma; his brother, Ricky Via (Michelle) of Wesgate, Clifton Forge; two nephews, Garrett Via and Gavin Via; and a number of cousins. A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 11:00 AM in Alleghany Memorial Park with Reverend Edith Snedegar officiating. Interment will immediately follow.
