Sherry Faye Persinger, age 64, of 111 North Marion Avenue, Covington, Virginia died on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at her residence. Sherry was born on November 27, 1961 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Carl Raymond Persinger, Jr. and Edith Geraldine Persinger. She was a waitress for D & J Family Restaurant in Covington, and was baptized at Mt. Valley Methodist Church where she remained a member throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with her animals and being outdoors, but especially loved being with her family and grandyoungins. In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by a fiancé Willie Graham; three sisters, Tammie Hepler, Linda Persinger, and Debbie Dawson; a brother, Carlos Persinger; and a grandson, Conner Wolfe. She is survived by a daughter, Christina Lappeaux of Clifton Forge; two sons, Bobby L. Wolfe, Jr. and wife Kelly of Rich Patch, Covington and Raymond Wolfe, and wife Angela of Covington; a brother-in-law, Jay Bird Hepler of Selma; seven grandchildren, Taylor Wolfe and wife Molly, Jacob Wolfe, Harlee Wolfe, Remington Wolfe, Paislea Wolfe, Raven Gillispie, and Rylee Leitch; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Drew Hepler; a special friend, Nancy Pritt; and her little puppy, “Who”.
